In a perfect world every newborn would be photographed at the magic two weeks old (or younger) mark. But I have been finding that it's just not realistic!! It can be overwhelming for new moms to plan for a photo session while they are still just figuring out life with their new little one!! and that's OK!!
The last few newborn sessions I have done baby was actually around the 4 week mark and we still had an amazing outcome and a ton of photos to choose from!!
Wesley was my first 4 week old and boy was he just the sweetest!! We had so much fun capturing him in his own environment with Mom, Dad, and proud big brother Carter! (who I also got to take newborn pics of a few years ago!! :))
Moral of the story, Moms! Don't stress!! Take your time when you get home with baby, get in a routine and then have your session!
Don't get me wrong though, if you are feeling up to it during those first two weeks that's AMAZING! But just know if you aren't that is OK too!! Just be sure to have your photographer lined up ahead of time! (We actually have a lot of tips and tricks we want to have time to share with you before your session!!)
